Introduction to Lacrosse Clinics
In 2006 we hosted our first Summer Lacrosse Camp to bring the game to aspiring lacrosse players in Macomb County. In the past 10-years we have introduced over 800 players to the game! Many players have gone on to do great things at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Offered in the Summer, Fall and Winter seasons for Boys & Girls, our Introduction to Lacrosse sessions bring players a 4 or 6-session series of 1-hour instruction modules for players in Kindergarten thru High School. All players will receive age-appropriate instruction within their break-out groups when mixed sessions are held. East Side coaches with experience in both the Boy’s & Girl’s game will be on staff for the benefit of our players and their parents.
Our Intro to Lacrosse program has introduced over 1000 players to the game since 2006!
INTRODUCTION TO LACROSSE- FALL SESSION
6-SESSIONS WILL BE OFFERED IN 2017 ON SUNDAYS NOV. 5, 12, 19 (LEVEL 1) and DEC. 3, 10, 17 (LEVEL 2)
SESSION TIMES: ALL AGES – AFTERNOON TIMES T.B.D.
LOCATION: MACOMB COUNTY INDOOR FACILITY T.B.D.
Level I instruction occurring in the first 3 sessions of the program provides an introduction to the fundamentals of the game without need of an equipment purchase. Sticks will be available for free rental or purchase as a part of clinic registration. We strongly encourage players to purchase a stick after the first session to practice what they learned before the next session.
Level II consists of the final 3 dates and requires full equipment for all participants. Players will benefit from the use of equipment within the Intro environment as vision and mobility is substantially different than being equipment-free. You can find the list of required lacrosse equipment here. NOTE: K-2nd grade players will not have an equipment requirement when instruction for their age group is offered.
